he Château de Béru stands in the middle of the vines, where it contemplates one of the loveliest valleys in the Chablis area and the charming village that bears its name.
The house was built in the 13th Century. The Comtes de Béru acquired it in 1627. Since then and until today, it has remained in the family. The castle was considerably modified during the Renaissance and later on, in the 18th Century.
Among other interesting features, one can admire a very rare sun-and-moon-dial dating from the 16th Century, a gate and its tower from the 13th Century, a 1500 pigeonhole dovecote from the 13th Century and the wine cellars, built in the 16th century.

The Château de Béru is in the heart of one of the most touristy area of Burgundy, at a 2 hour drive from Paris.
Between Chablis, Tonnerre or the medieval village of Noyers, you will discover some magnificients châteaux, and among many, the Château de Tanlay and the Château d'Ancy le Franc.
